Canon PowerShot SX1 IS, review of my new car.
My new Canon PowerShot SX1 IS is no doubt an excellent camera, a gem for people like me still wants to dive into the world of SLR. The SX1 is in fact a "bridge ", the "bridge" t ra a compact and an SLR, combining in one machine the main features of both.
E 'smallest and lightest D-SLR, but equally strong, does not have interchangeable lenses but thanks to wide angle (28mm) and its powerful 20X zoom ( 560mm) each subject is easily caught, even with the help of the excellent and indispensable image stabilizer, with which it is very hard to take photos "moves".
Like the SLR, the SX1 features a CMOS sensor , faster and less "noise" of the compact classical CCD but unfortunately nothing to do with the CMOS, much larger, mounted on the camera. The CMOS sensor with the processor latest Digic4 help make great photos 10 Megapixe the even burst in RAW format or JPEG, standard size (4 / 3 ) or widescreen (16 / 9 but to 8MP) and HD (1920 x 1080) at 30 fps .
Use memory cards SD / SDHC / MMC and 4 AA rechargeable batteries (NiMH). Fantastic display "panoramic" and swivel 2.8 " and very useful remote control provided, either as self-timer or remote release either" play "to review the photos on TV. Needless to mention various shooting modes already present in the stain ina digital and ability to set everything manually, from the focus to aperture priority or time, etc ...
The quality is not that of a reflex, notice it especially in low light conditions by increasing the ISO when the "noise" is too annoying than the 400, but very well with the "macro" but are not always immediately puts sharp focus what we want but with a little 'more practice and patience you can e.
risk of losing the lens cover immediately, as well as the bayonet hood, best buy for a few € 58mm adapter (not officially exist but on eBay there are no trouble finding one) to use a lens cap of your choice, a shade more serious and all filters from 58mm that you want, as the indispensable UV or polarizer.
